Limping Dog

Weee...... TGIF! Just a few more minutes before the weekend begins.

My phone rings and Hanley is calling. Hanley never calls when I am at work:

H: *panicking*
"Emergency! Chili's limping! She somehow hurt herself and won't put any weight on her left front paw!"
Me: *Thinks to meself, maybe he is overreacting like the last time. Chili should be fine*
"I'll be leaving work soon, I'll grab dinner on the way back and you take care of Chili. I'll be home soon. If it's serious, bring her to the vet."
H: "We don't know what it is, if it is a sprain or a hairline fracture, the vet can't do anything for her except for giving her painkillers. I'll have a look at her and try to figure out why she is limping."

I frantically look up Asia Paw's number and calls Dr Susanna praying that she has an available acupuncture slot tomorrow as her Saturday slots are usually booked up. No answer. Maybe she is in a session so I send her a SMS, called tried calling her a few more times, emailed her.

Text Aunty Fe to check if she is in Malaysia and whether she is free tonight and for the weekend for Cranio Sacral Therapy with Chili.

When I got home, Hanley was with Chili on the sofa. He put Chili down on the floor and Chili just stood there with 3 legs looking miserably at me.

Han Ni PANICS! FREAKS OUT! What has happened? She is not coming to me and can't put her paw down.

Hanley noticed a huge bump on the leg and suspects that the swelling was caused when slipped while jumping and running around the house and twisted her leg. NOW HE is laughing at me saying that he isn't worried anymore because he knows where the injury is AND because I am doing the panicking and worrying he doesn't have to worry anymore. Grrr.....

During dinner, I received a message from Aunty Fe saying that she is out that night, but will be able to see Chili on Saturday and Sunday.  Huge sign of relief. With CST, Fe will be able to tell me what is wrong with Chili's leg and whether she fractured anything without using an X-Ray. Still no reply from Asia Paws tho...

  • Apply 1 drop each of PanAway and Copoiba Essential Oil on her paw, three times a day
